How do I get to Tortuguero?⌄
Fly into San José (SJO) or Liberia (LIR), then take a private van + boat transfer (we arrange everything). We also offer regional flight + boat options.
Can I drive there?⌄
No — Tortuguero is a car-free island. You arrive by boat (or small plane). We handle all transfers.
Are there cars in Tortuguero?⌄
No roads and no cars on the island. Everyone walks or bikes — it is one of Costa Rica's most peaceful wildlife sanctuaries.
Where is the hotel?⌄
In the heart of Tortuguero Village, between the river and the Caribbean Sea, a 5-minute walk to the national park entrance and the beach.
When can we see turtles?⌄
Green sea turtles nest late June – October (peak Aug–Sep). Leatherbacks (baula) nest March – June (peak April–May). Night tours with certified guides are the best way to witness it.
Can I swap dinner for breakfast?⌄
Yes — on our packages you can swap dinner for breakfast or lunch. Just let us know in advance. After booking you can add the basic extra tours (Night Walk, Green Macaw, SJO transfers, seasonal Turtle, combos, Baula, etc.) via front desk or WhatsApp.

Best time to visit?⌄
Year-round wildlife viewing. Turtle nesting peaks July–October. Fishing is excellent March–May and September–November. Dry season (less rain) is roughly January–April.
